Adams Centre for High Performance

Our Background

Adams Centre for High Performance Athletes

What is now a state-of-the-art centre of sporting excellence was once a vacant building that has been transformed by Bay Venues and Tauranga City Council.

The Centre’s partnership with the University of Waikato has taken the facility from being a high performance gym to also being a leading provider of testing and research into sport science and human performance. A number of sporting tenants call the Centre home alongside various onsite sports services.

The first-class equipment and sports science technology draw in high-performance athletes from all around New Zealand.

High quality sports physiotherapy is provided by Body in Motion with massage therapy, podiatry and sports medicine also available. Additionally, the Adams Academy membership provides support and guidance for emerging athletes.
